  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 2 tsp chili powder
  • 2 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp honey
  • ½ tsp oregano
  • 4 tsp De La Viuda® Original Hot Sauce, divided
  • Salt and pepper
  • ½ cup sour cream
  • 4 ripe avocados
  • 1 cup shredded Mexican blend cheese
  • ¼ cup fresh cilantro, chopped
  • Fresh lime wedges
  • Pico de gallo, for serving

Instructions

  1. Heat a large skillet to medium-high heat.
  2. Add the ground beef, breaking up the meat as it cooks, until browned, about 5 minutes.
  3. Add the chili powder, smoked paprika, cumin, garlic powder, onion powder, oregano, honey and 2 tsp De La Viuda® Original Hot Sauce.
  4. Add 1/2 cup water.
  5. Reduce the heat to medium and simmer until the sauce has thickened slightly.
  6. Stir in the cilantro and season with salt and pepper.
  7. In a small bowl mix together sour cream and remaining 2 tsp hot sauce.
  8. Halve and pit avocados. Squeeze lime over avocados.
  9. Spoon the warm taco meat into each halve, and top with cheese, pico de gallo, and spicy sour cream.
